HOW WE WORK
The Olava Foundation follows a community-based, scientific and sustainable approachz
HOW WE WORK
-

01 Understand the Local Water Situation
We study local water challenges, including rainfall, drainage patterns, existing water bodies, groundwater conditions, water usage and environmental concerns.
-

02 Identify the Problem
We identify where water is being lost, polluted, blocked or underutilized. This includes rainwater runoff, polluted water bodies, damaged ponds, falling groundwater levels and poor drainage systems.
-

03 Develop a Local Solution
Instead of using a single solution everywhere, we design interventions according to the local geography, climate, soil, water availability and community requirements.
-

04 Implement with Community Participation
We work with local communities, institutions, organizations, experts, volunteers and other stakeholders to implement projects.
-

05 Monitor & Maintain
Water conservation is not a one-time activity. We encourage regular monitoring, maintenance and community ownership to ensure that projects continue to create benefits over the long term.
-

06 Measure Impact
We measure the results of our work to understand the impact created and identify opportunities for improvement.
